About: Jocelyn and her sister, Karla, were among the first children brought to La Ola after our founding in 2010. They were brought to us after their mother was killed in a car accident and there was no one else to care for them. They are indigenous Nauhatl (Aztec) who were brought up speaking the ancient language and are the first known members of their family to graduate high school. Jocelyn is now in college studying business administration and works at La Ola. Both girls are an incredible testament to the kind of opportunities we are able to provide our children. We are so proud of them!
